8. Level Sets

Updating Level Sets

when removing a virtual level that all devices, routers and control panels using that virtual level are
not negatively impacted.

Virtual levels can be created and added, but not removed, using the ‘Level Sets’ page accessed
through the ‘Configuration’ pane. Virtual levels can be added and removed, but not created, using
the ‘Level Set Details’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane.

How to Create and Add Virtual Levels to a Level Set Using the ‘Level Sets’ Page

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Level Sets’. The ‘Level

Sets’ page appears, as shown in Figure 8-13.
To narrow the list of level sets that display, enter the first characters of a level set name in the
‘Name Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display only level sets matching that
character string.

Warning

Renaming or reconfiguring virtual levels in a level set will radically alter the con-
figuration of any devices in the level set and should be done with extreme cau-
tion.
