16. Tielines
Creating a Tieline
Tielines can be added using a wizard or page, as follows:
• ‘Add Tieline’ wizard (accessed through the ‘Tasks’ pane) — A step-by-step guide to add a sin-
gle tieline. Opens the ‘Tieline Details’ page through which router physical levels are mapped.
• ‘Tielines’ page (accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane) — A list of existing tielines to
which a new tieline can be added. Opens the ‘Tieline Details’ page through which physical lev-
els are defined.
To quickly add several tielines, minimal information for each tieline can be entered in the ‘Add
Tieline’ wizard and then the
Finish
button is clicked. This adds the tieline name and clears all fields
so that another tieline can be added immediately. However, no details for the tieline, such as physi-
cal levels, are added. Tieline details are added using the ‘Tielines’ page accessed through the ‘Con-
figuration’ pane.
How to Add a Tieline Using the ‘Add Tieline’ Wizard or ‘Tielines’ Page

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Tasks’ pane and then ‘Add Tieline’.

From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Tielines’. The ‘Tielines’
page displays. On the ‘Tielines’ page, click
Add Tieline
. The ‘Add Tieline’ page appears:
