Locating and Viewing Device Details

How to Add a Single Device Using the ‘Devices’ Table

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Devices’. The ‘Devices’ table

appears:

3 Click

Add Device

. A blank row appears.

4 In the blank row, click on the row in the ‘Mnemonic’ column to activate it and enter a name for

the new device.

5 In the same row, click on the row in the ‘Level Set’ column and select a system controller from

the drop-down list.

6 Click

Save

. The device name is saved and the next sequential identification number assigned,

but categories and other details are not defined. To add details, locate the device and perform
steps 5 through 7 as described in

How to Add a Single Device

on page 160. (See

How to Locate

and View Devices Using the ‘Devices’ Page

on page 168.)

7 Click

X

on the window title tab to close the table.

Locating and Viewing Device Details

Depending on the information you want to view, different pages or tables present different device
information:

• ‘Devices’ page (accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane)

A list of existing devices, one

device per row, and associated level sets and categories. Locate devices by name or level set.

• ‘Devices’ table (accessed through the ‘Views’ pane)

A list of level sets and associated

devices, one level set per row, with name, description and filepath. Locate devices by mne-
monic or level set.
