Tool Offset Parameters

Chapter 22

22-6

Function

Use this feature to determine how the geometry tool offset takes place.

This parameter determines when the work coordinate system is shifted, and

when the axis position is returned to the programmed position after the

coordinate system shifts.

Move

Coordinate system is

shifted by the amount of the offset,

but the tool remains stationary.

Coordinate values of tool position

changes by the amount of offset.

Coordinate system remains stationary,

but the tool moves by the amount of offset.

Coordinate values of tool position changes

by the amount of offset.

Offset is X--10., Y--.5

Tool position

changes from

If original tool

position is X5., Y10.,

new tool position

is X--5., Y5.
