Use this parameter to select the axial axis for angled-wheel grinders. Enter
the name of the axis that is parallel to the part spindle centerline.

Nonangled-wheel grinders should have this parameter set as “none” (i).
Notes
When the control enters angled-wheel mode (G16.3 or G16.4) this axis and
the Wheel Virtual Axis Name parameter are used to define the active
plane.
This is a global parameter. The value set here applies to all axes.
