Remote I/O Parameters

Chapter 33

33-2

Notes

The 1771 system installer may be able to help you determine this value.

The remote I/O port is always seen as an adapter by the scanner.

Function

Every device on the remote I/O network is assigned a rack address used to

identify it to the scanner. This parameter specifies the rack address

assigned to the control.

Notes

PLC-5 processors address remote I/O devices in octal. This parameter is

entered as a decimal value. You must manually convert your desired

remote I/O address into a decimal value before entering it here. For

example if you want to assign the 9/Series the remote I/O octal address of

10, you would enter a value of 8 here. The PLC-5 would then use an

address of 10 when communicating to the 9/Series.

The PLC system installer may be able to help you determine this value.
