Workpiece-blank programming

To describe the workpiece blank, proceed as follows:

Standard blank (cylinder, hollow cylinder):

U

Select “Geo > Blank> Chuck piece/bar G20” in the main menu.

U

The CNC PILOT

„

Creates an NC block in the BLANK section

„

Switches to the “Geometry” submenu

„

Activates the “Chuck part, cylinder/tube G20” dialog box

Casting as blank (the workpiece blank contour is based on the finished
part contour):

U

Select “Geo > Blank> Casting G21” in the main menu.

U

The CNC PILOT

„

Creates an NC block in the BLANK section

„

Switches to the “Geometry” submenu

„

Activates the “Casting G21” dialog box

Any workpiece blank contour:

U

Select “Geo > Blank> Free contour” in the main menu.

U

Positioning the cursor on the BLANK program section

„

Switches to the “Geometry” submenu

Define through individual contour elements (like a finished part
contour)

Block numbering

Setting the block numbering: The block numbering settings are the
starting block number and the block-number increment. The first NC
block receives the starting block number and the block-number
increment is added for each further NC block. The settings for starting
block number and block number increment are tied with the NC
program. Call:

U

Select “Block > Increment” in the main menu. The editor opens the
“Config. of block no. increment” dialog box.

U

Enter the starting block number and block number increment.

Renumbering the NC blocks: The editor

„

renumbers the NC blocks.

„

corrects the block references of contour-related G commands in the
main program and all subprograms called in this main program.

„

corrects the block references for subprogram calls.

„

renumbers the NC blocks of a subprogram if this subprogram is
used by the main program and is open in the editor.

Call:

U

Select “Block > Block numbering” in the main menu. The editor
renumbers the NC blocks.
