Describing the new tool (entering the tool type directly)
Select “New direct.”
The tool type is known: Enter the “Tool type”.
The tool type is not known:
Press the soft key and define the tool type by entering
the following data:
„ Main group
„ Subgroup
„ Machining direction
Enter the tool data.
Describing the new tool (selecting the tool type)
Select “New menu.”
Select the tool type from the menu.
Enter the tool data.
Temporary tool descriptions: Tools that are not permanently stored
in the tool database can be described in the NC program. These
“temporary” tool descriptions start with “_SIM..” or “_AUTO..”. (see
“Tool programming” on page 121).
Delete temporary tool descriptions:
U Select “del. temp.”. The tool editor deletes all temporary tools.
