Copying a contour section in circular series

With this function, you can define a contour section and append it to
the existing contour any number of times.

U

Select “Copy > Row > Circular” in the finished part menu. TURN
PLUS marks the last element.

U

Select the contour section (you can only select the last contour
elements entered).

U

TURN PLUS opens the “Copy in circular series” dialog box. Enter
the number of copies and the radius.

U

TURN PLUS displays the first center of rotation as a red square.
Select the appropriate center of rotation.

U

TURN PLUS extends the contour.

Execution of “circular copying”

„

Centers of rotation: TURN PLUS uses the entered radius for
creating a circle both around the starting point and the end point of
the contour section. The points of intersection of the circles are the
two possible centers of rotation.

The angle of rotation is calculated from the distance between
starting point and end point of the contour section.

„

Extending the contour: TURN PLUS copies the selected contour
section, rotates it and adds it to the contour.

Copying a contour section by mirroring

With this function, you can define a contour section, mirror it and add
it to the existing contour.

Select “Copy > Mirror“ in the finished part menu. TURN PLUS
marks the last element.

U

Select the contour section (you can only select the last contour
elements entered).

U

TURN PLUS opens the “Copy by mirroring” dialog box.

U

Define the mirror axis. TURN PLUS extends the contour.

Angle of the mirror axis. The mirror axis intersects the current
end point of the contour.

Reference of the angle: positive Z axis
