Shaft speed with V constant G922

Available as of software version 625 952-05.

With constant surface speed (V constant), the spindle speed depends
on the X position of the tool tip. With G922 you program whether this
procedure should apply to G0 paths, as well.

G922 applies to the spindle assigned to the slide.

Optimized spindle speed: At the transition from traverse path to
rapid travers path, the spindle speed is frozen at the speed of the last
traverse path. This spindle speed is maintained for further rapid
traverse paths. Only during the last rapid traverse path before the
transition to the traverse path (new approach) will the spindle speed
depend again on the X postion of the tool tip.

Speed optimization with G0 paths: The spindle speed depends on
the X position of the tool tip.

G922 is permanently effective. It remains effective until the next G922
or program end.

If G922 is not used, the following “standard behavior” is applicable:

„

Machines with one slide: For G0 paths, the principle of the
optimized spindle speed is applied:

„

Machines with several slides, also including several slides with X
axis
: V constant is also applicable to G0 paths.

„

Machines wiht several slides but only one slide with X axis:
The behavior is dependent on machine parameter 18, Bit 8.

„

Bit 8=0: V constant is also applicable to G0 paths.

„

Bit 8=1: For G0 paths, the principle of the optimized spindle speed
is applied:
