A.81 is the alarm display for an absolute encoder backup error. The alarm
output appears below.
Note: The x indicates the output transistor is OFF (alarm state).

Cause Remedy
A The entire power supply is down to the
following absolute encoders:
+5V Power Supply (supplied to servo
amplifier)
Battery power Initialize (setup) the absolute
encoder.
B Absolute encoder malfunctioned Replace servo motor.
C Circuit board (1PWB) defective. Replace servo amplifier.
Alarm occurs at power ON
