76.19 hello-interval

Command:

hello-interval <hello-interval>

no hello-interval

Function:

Set the global time interval between hello messages; the no operation will restore the default value.

Parameters:

<hello-interval> is the time interval between hello messages, ranging from 1 to 65535 seconds.

Default:

5s.

Command Mode:

LDP Protocol Configuration Mode.

Usage Guide:

LDP discovers its neighbors and keeps the communication with them through multicast Hello.

Implementing this command will set the time interval of sending hello messages. Please pay

attention to the relationship between it and the hold-time. It is better to set a value no greater than

1/3 of the latter. When the interface is configured with Hello-interval, the global configuration will

have no effect on it.

Example:

Configure the hello-interval as 10:

Switch(config)#router ldp

Switch(config-router)#hello-interval 10
