Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol Commands 1243
Syntax
vrrp vr-id mode
no vrrp vr-id mode
• vr-id — The virtual router identifier. (Range: 1-255)
Default Configuration
Disabled is the default configuration.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example enables the virtual router for VLAN 15.
console(config)#interface vlan 15
console(config-if-vlan15)#vrrp 5 mode
vrrp preempt
Use the vrrp preempt command in Interface Configuration mode to set the
preemption mode value for the virtual router configured on a specified
interface. Use the no form of the command to disable preemption mode.

vrrp group preempt [delay seconds ]
no vrrp group preempt
