Enter the last usable IP address in the range of IP addresses you want to identify in the End IP field.

5.

Click Add to add the IP segment to the Configured Segments list.

6.

Repeat Steps 3-5 until you have added all of the IP segments you want to scan the network for.

7.

Click OK to begin the IP address auto scanning process.
All IP addresses discovered by auto scanning are unallocated. You can manually allocate them to
terminals.

8.

Click the checkbox to the left for each IP address you want to allocate to the associated device.

9.

Click the first empty checkbox in the upper left corner of the list to select all IP addresses in the list
for the current page.

10.

Click Allocate.

11.

Review the results of your allocation in the IP Address Allocation Result list.
After auto scanning, the IP addresses are automatically added to existing IP segments. If the IP
addresses do not belong to any existing IP segment, they are automatically added to the system

default IP segment.

Allocating IP addresses using the import IP address feature

You can use the import IP address feature to batch import IP addresses from an IP address file or a DHCP

server. This feature lets you quickly import IP addresses to Terminal Access in batches.
To add IP addresses using IMC import IP address feature:

1.

Navigate to Resource > IP Address Allocation.

Click the Resource tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.

Click Terminal Access on the navigation tree on the left.

c.

Click IP Address Allocation under Terminal Access from the navigation tree on the left.

The IP Segment List appears.

Click Import IP Address.

3.

Click Browse to select the imported file.

4.

Enter the separator that the imported file uses in the Column Separator File field. Options include
Space, TAB, comma (,), semi-colon (;), pound sign (#), and dollar sign ($).

5.

Select Yes or No in the Import First Row field.

6.

Click OK.

7.

Select the column that contains the device IP addresses.

8.

Select the column that contains the owners of the IP addresses, or select Do not select from the file
and then enter an owner in the text box to assign the owner to all IP addresses to be imported.

9.

Enter the description in the Description field.

10.

Click OK.

11.

Review the results of IP address import in the IP Import Results page.

Importing IP address segments

IMC allows you to import IP address segments in batches from a standard .xml file.
To import IP address segments to IMC:

1.

Navigate to Resource > IP Address Allocation.

Click the Resource tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.
