1.

Navigate to Resource > Performance Option:

a.

Click the Resource tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.

b.

Click the Performance Management link on the navigation tree on the left.

c.

Click Performance Option under Performance Management from the navigation system on the
left.

The Performance Option page appears.

Click the Common Index tab in the Performance Option page.
The Common Index page displays all monitor indexes in IMC.
To expand all index categories, click Expand All at top of the page.
To collapse all index categories, click Collapse All at top of the page.
To expand an index category, click the Expand icon next to the index category.

Select the check box next to the indexes or indexes categories.

4.

Click OK.

Configuring service monitoring

Service monitoring monitors the reachability and response time of network services to determine the

availability and quality of the services. Services that can be monitored include:

DHCP

DNS

FTP

Internet service

RADIUS service

SNMP

You can add, modify, delete, start, or stop a service monitor.

Viewing the service monitor list

To view the service monitor list:

1.

Navigate to Resource > Service Monitor:

a.

Click the Resource tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.

b.

Click Performance Management section of the navigation tree on the left.

c.

Click Service Monitor under Performance Management from the navigation system on the left.

The Service Monitor List displays all service monitors.

Service Monitor List:

Monitor Name: Contains the name of the service monitor.

Service Type: Contains the type of the service to be monitored.

Item Name: Contains the name of the monitoring index.

Monitor Status: Contains the status of the service monitor, which can be Start Monitor or Stop
Monitor.

Server IP address: Contains the IP address of the server on which the service is running.

Modify: Contains a link for entering the page for modifying the service monitor.
