Click Trap Management on the navigation tree on the left.

Click Trap Definition under Trap Management from the navigation tree on the left.

Click Import trap definition from MIB file in the Trap Definition list.

4.

Click Compile.

5.

Select the MIB file that contains the traps you want to import from the list of MIBs located below the
Compile button.
A dialog box is displayed that lists all of the traps in the selected MIB.

6.

Click the checkbox to the left of the Trap Name you want to import.

7.

Click Import. The maximum number of MIBs that can be imported is 1000.

Managing the device severity list

The device severity list shows the severity levels of a device corresponding to the trap in different

parameter configurations.
To manage the device severity list:

1.

Navigate to Trap Definition.

a.

Click the Alarm tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.

b.

Click Trap Management on the navigation tree on the left.

c.

Click Trap Definition under Trap Management from the navigation tree on the left.

2.

Click the Device Severity icon for a trap to enter the device severity page of the trap.
The page displays the severity level of the device in the trap.
Device Severity List contents

Severity—Severity level of the trap.

{

Device Name—Name of the device.

{

Paras—Trap parameters.

{

Modify—Click the Modify icon to modify the device severity.

{

Delete—Click the Delete icon to delete the device severity.

Adding a device severity

1.

Click Add.

2.

Set the Basic Information area:
Trap OID and Trap Name are the trap information corresponding to the Device Information, and
they cannot be modified.

a.

Select an alarm level from the Alarm Level list.

b.

Click Select in the Select area. Select devices on the dialog box that appears.
The Select Devices dialog box appears.
Add devices by View or by the Advanced query option. See "

The selected devices are displayed in the Select area. To delete devices from the area, select
the devices to be deleted and click Delete.

3.

Set Trap Parameter: input the trap parameter value in the Parameter Value field corresponding to
a Parameter Name.

4.

Click OK.
